About Urban Green Place

I love parks. Living in cities, it's so easy to get caught up in the rhythm of concrete and traffic. We're constantly surrounded by buildings, machinery, or endless surburbia. But stepping into a park feels like hitting a pause button on all of that. Suddenly, the air feels a little cleaner. It’s amazing what a difference it makes to just see a wide-open expanse of green, to feel soft grass under your feet instead of hard pavement. It's more than just a change of scenery; it's a deep breath for your mind, a chance to unclutter your thoughts.

I created this site to help people find these green places near them. During the COVID lockdowns, I spent a lot of time finding all the parks in walking distance of my house. I didn't just want the local parks, I wanted to know which ones had play equipment for my daughter, or which ones I could take the dog to as well. Urban Green Place was the tool I didn't have. The lockdowns might be behind us, but I still love being able to find the parks near me and make time to visit them. Hopefully this site helps you do that too.
